Statement:
Carol McQuown Warner has been a stained glass artisan since 1989. Classical Glass Studio, her home
business, is located at 406 Tiffany Drive in Bridgewater, Virginia. She is a juried member of the
Artisans Center of Virginia and OASIS Gallery, and has worked with Dr. Jay Kain at Shenandoah
Stained Glass and with Kay Rodgers at Carousel Stained Glass, both in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Carol has a Bachelor of Music degree from West Virginia University and a Master of Music Education
degree from James Madison University. She has been a teacher in the Preparatory Music Department at
Eastern Mennonite University, a flutist with the Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival Orchestra since
its beginning in 1993, and plays with other orchestras in the area. Musical themes sometimes are
incorporated into her stained glass works. She feels that music and art should touch the soul.
